Setup guide

Set up Queeble, step by step.

What you need, every step as it works today, and fixes for the problems stores run into most. Rather do it together? Book a live walkthrough and we'll go through it with you.

  • For store chat

A Shopify store. That's all you need to start.

  • For WhatsApp

A Meta Business account and a phone number for WhatsApp Business. A number that's on the WhatsApp Business app has to be removed from the app first, so many stores use a separate number.

  • For campaigns and cart reminders

A payment method in Meta's WhatsApp Manager. Meta bills these template messages to your WhatsApp Business Account and won't deliver them without one.

Eight steps

From install to first answer.

Steps 1 to 5 get the assistant answering on your store, with no Queeble account. The rest can wait until you're ready.

  1. 1Install from the Shopify App StoreCheck the store name on the install page before you approve. If your Shopify login covers several stores, that page is the only place to choose the right one.
  2. 2Open Queeble in Shopify adminQueeble opens on Get started with a workspace already set up for your store, so store chat needs no Queeble account. Already use Queeble? Choose Connect to Queeble on Get started first, sign in and move the store into your workspace. Once shoppers have chatted on your store, it can't be moved.
  3. 3Choose a planOpen Billing and pick a plan. Shopify shows its own approval page in a new tab. Your 14-day free trial starts, and you aren't charged until it ends.
  4. 4Sync your productsYour first sync starts the first time Queeble opens, and Get started shows the product count. After that, changes in Shopify reach Queeble automatically and the full catalog is re-synced every night.
  5. 5Turn on chat for your storeTry a test chat from Get started first. Then choose Open theme editor: it opens App embeds with Queeble Chat switched on. Save, then visit your store once; you should see one chat bubble. If you don't, paste the widget key from the Widget tab into the Queeble Chat embed and save again.
  6. 6Add your Queeble accountWhatsApp, house rules, your inbox and alerts when a shopper asks for your team are in the Queeble dashboard. On Get started, choose Connect to Queeble: a new tab opens. Create an account there and it owns your store's workspace; if you already use Queeble, sign in and move the store into your workspace instead. A short guided setup fills in your business details.
  7. 7Connect WhatsApp, now or laterIn your Queeble dashboard, open Integrations, then WhatsApp, and choose Connect WhatsApp. Sign in with Facebook, accept the permissions Meta asks for, and choose or add the business number shoppers will message.
  8. 8Set your house rules and test themOpen House Rules in your dashboard to choose which topics go to your team, add a note to certain answers or ask shoppers to confirm first. Try each rule in the Sandbox before shoppers see it.

If something goes wrong

Common problems, and fixes.

“Missing or expired install proof” when connecting
Open Apps, then Queeble, in Shopify admin and refresh. Choose Connect to Queeble again and finish within an hour of opening the link. Reinstalling alone doesn't help.
Queeble was installed on the wrong store
Uninstall it from that store, then install again and pick the right store on the App Store page. Queeble won't attach a second store to a workspace that already has one.
“Shoppers have already chatted on this store” when moving it
Once shoppers have chatted on your store, it stays in the workspace Queeble made for it, so those conversations aren't lost. Choose Keep its own workspace instead.
Connect to Queeble doesn't open anything
Your browser or the Shopify mobile app blocked the new tab. Copy the link Queeble shows and open it in your regular browser.
“Connection cancelled” after the Facebook window
The Meta window was closed before it finished. Nothing was connected; choose Connect WhatsApp to start again.
“Couldn't connect WhatsApp”
Start again and accept every permission Meta asks for. Check that the number isn't still on the WhatsApp Business app.
Campaigns or cart reminders aren't delivered
Add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager. Meta holds template messages until the WhatsApp Business Account can be billed.
